Our bathtub

On my instagram I posted a video of my husband bathing our baby, and it got over 5 million views.

I guess people like cute babies and handsome firefighters!

I got a ton of requests inquiring about our bathtub, so I thought I should do a post about it.

As parents of three preterm nicu babies, we had to do weekly weight checks to make sure they were gaining weight efficiently.

Since we had all of our kiddos during peak cold/flu season, we weren’t comfortable bringing them into a pediatrician office weekly. Instead, we spoke with our doctor about our concerns, and he suggested we track their weight at home.

So, we invested in a bathtub with a scale. It’s really come in handy over the years.

It’s pretty simple to use. You fill up the bathtub, clear the weight to zero, and add the baby to get their weight.

Another thing we did for our babies when they were little is added a little blanket in the bathtub. Small babies get really cold really fast and on those cold winter nights, it came in handy to cover them with a blanket and wash each body part separately.

If you have a little one this winter, I highly suggest blanket baths!
